This year we have big plans for the house. With the economy in shambles, it is a great time to go spend money and help local buisness (i.e. Craiglisters). On our agenda:
- Plant more trees / shrubs
- Re-do the bonus room with paneling and a concrete, heated floor.
- New bathroom complete with matching green sink and cool tiles.
- HOPEFULLY, a new kitchen.
All of these are tentative, but we are very hopeful. And here is a photo of our dog doing what he is not supposed to do, sit on the furniture.

That pup may be breaking the rules, but those long legs sure look appropriately elegant hanging over that Danish chair!
If you need to get trees; here's an idea. Here in the SF Bay Area there is an organization called re-leaf out of Oakland, and their whole purpose is to get more trees planted in urban environments, so they'll come to your house and plant a free tree for you! Pretty nifty; our house benefitted from this with the previous owners.
I'm not sure if they would have such a think in central Oregon (not being an overly urbanized environment), but I thought it might be of interest to your urban readers (and who knows; maybe there's such an organization in every area!)
Trees, unlike other yard plants, can be hard to transport and plant, so thought I'd offer up this idea.
